Kickstart My Heart

All right, everyone, let’s start this post off in the right direction.

Let’s be honest with each other. Who needs a boost in life, a push in the right direction? Who is on the brink of success and/or accomplishing their goal(s), but is just shy of reaching it? Who hates posts that go on and on? I think one if not all of the above would cover many people in this day age, right? Majority of us want straightforward answers with reachable results. Well, I am here to tell you that I will be as straight forward as possible, but cannot tell you the proper roads to take on the maps of your life as each person’s life and situation is unique, just like I can’t say that those roads will be entirely straight. Some of your goals will be within your reach and others will be far out of your reach and will seem light-years away. Trust me, I know as I am still reaching for the stars for some of my goals.

However, this is where the fun part begins because:

  • We get to really discover who we are along the way
  • We gain new opportunities and knowledge
  • We may possibly go off the deep end, just to bounce back even stronger than before
  • We make new friends, drop some old friends along the way
  • We make new connections worldwide
  • We gain crazy stories to tell about success and bumps along the way
  • And much more

You see the most important thing to remember about success is always keeping a positive attitude. Yes, it can be much easier said than done. Yes, some of us hold in a lot of anger. Yes, some of us aren’t super humans. No, you don’t always have to have a “clown-happy” smile on your face. All you need to do is get and remain positive, even when you feel any negative energy around. If something frustrates you, try to find the good in it.

In my following posts, you will more than likely see me writing about positivity, attitude of gratitude, hard work, dedication, perseverance and more for great reasons, not least of which includes attracting what you put out (more on that in another post). It may sound tedious and boring, but guess what? Where do you think people like Oprah, Steven Hawking, Bill Gates, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kiss, and countless artists, entrepreneurs, and geniuses would have gotten with out all of the above and then some? Where do you think cover bands, like Fly by Radio, would have gotten without the above examples (cover bands have big shoes to fill, by the way)? Guess what, it’s life and we must learn to work with these things. Yes, you can work off of anger, but don’t let the anger consume you; just let the anger help shape your work. The same thing goes for running off the rest of your emotions. For instance, when you put your emotions, your all into a song you can feel it, just like you can feel when a band puts their all into a song, whether sad, angry, or happy. If you are going to use your emotions, just remember to not force emotions because your emotions will relay false signals and people can generally always tell when something is forced. Force it, and your work will be crap. Force it, and you will more than likely fail. Go with the flow of things, not against. Although time waits for no one, life is not a race.

KEY NOTES:

  • Your roads may not always lead you in a straight line, but may have a few bumps along the way
  • Get and remain positive; try to see the positive in everything
  • If you are going to run off of your emotions, let your emotions work for you. DO NOT work for your emotions
  • Life is not a race

TAKE NOTE:

***There are no generic road maps to life***
